The Cuernavaca Language School (CLS) was founded by Dr. Ivan Illich as the "Centro Intercultural de Documentacion", better known as CIDOC. The CLS is one of the Mexico's oldest and most respected language institutes with professional instructors with extensive experience in teaching Spanish as a second language. Employing a total immersion approach, the innovative and dynamic teaching methods at the CLS are certain to facilitate rapid improvements in Spanish skills regardless of current Spanish language abilities.

Cuernavaca that is located about 85 km. (50 miles) south Mexico City and is the capital of the State of Morelos, is situated at an altitude of 5,000 feet with teperatures between 70°F. and 85°F. the year around. the climate is semi-tropical and gives Cuernavaca the fame as "The city of eternal springtime".

The metropolitan population is around one million, but the city retains its unique character and flavor of a smaller town. The city is rich in history and offers a unique and charming blend of pre-hispanic, colonial and modern Mexico.

Cuernavaca is a favorite spot of people the world over for its historical interest, striking scenary , its colorful life and its delightful climate. The geography is hilly and the streets are narrow and quaint.
